Some documentation concerning Tregelles' principles and practices by constructing this edition is also included. Critical apparatus is yet not present. The encoding of the text is UTF-8 unicode. SBL Greek New Testament with Critical Apparatus
This new critically edited Greek New Testament is released by Logos Bible Software and the Society of Biblical Literature under the name SBL Greek New Testament. It is distributed under a very generous license and can therefore possibly replace on the web the critical Nestle-Aland 27th edition which have a very strict license.
The SBL Greek New Testament is edited by Michael W. Holmes, who utilized a wide range of printed editions, all the major critical apparatuses, and the latest technical resources and manuscript discoveries as he established the text. The result is a critically edited text that differs from the Nestle-Aland/United Bible Societies text in more than 540 variation units.
